This is a sub-page of Prerelease:Mega Man 3 (NES).
June 22nd 1990

In the of Famitsu 0103 issue from June 22, 1990, there's a very early version of Rockman 3. Although there aren't many pictures, the few that appear show a significant difference, even compared to other builds that would come later! These same pictures can be found in other magazines from the same era.
- The preview mentions another transformation for Rush: Drill Rush. The text states that "Rush Drill allows Rockman to advance through the ground by digging a hole." It's possible that in the places where Break Man shows up to blow up the ground, Rockman would have had to use Drill Rush instead.

- The outside of the stage is completely different here! The floor resembles the surface of the moon rather than crystals.
- It's possible to see some small plants in the background that resemble the planet Saturn, and although the giant Saturn is still present in the final version, due to the parallax it ends up not being visible.
