This is a sub-page of Development:SpongeBob SquarePants: SuperSponge (PlayStation).

This page is rather stubbly and could use some expansion.
Are you a bad enough dude to rescue this article?

To do:

  • Rerender some of these with better lighting, I used stock 3D Studio Max lighting for most of these.
  • Perhaps mocking some of these up in game would be nice too.
  • Check the platforms and hazards folders, these account for all other 3D elements in the game that aren't level tiles.

In !ARchive CD 4 Final Delivery\SpongeBob.exe\ is the game's main source code. In the Graphics folder are the game's graphics files, including many 3D Studio Max files.

Various#

Checkpoint.max

An early version of the phone booth checkpoint, looking more in line with the SpongeBob theming.

Chapter01#

Level02
Buckets

Buckets of water meant to be placed on tree branches and the ground. The textures have been partially overwritten by the final water tub's textures.

Level03
JELLYaction.max

A very, very old tileset meant for Jellyfish Fields.

Chapter02#

Level01
garybowl.max

A much higher resolution model of Gary's bowl. It's from June ‎20, ‎2001, and a much more optimized version called garybowl01.max was created around three weeks later on July 9th.

Level02
Thermal Tunnel.max

A very early tileset intended for Thermal Tunnels, which was added to the source on March 12, 2001. It's high poly and split improperly, suggesting it was done during the concept phase. This looks very similar to the April 2001 GBA prototypes.
