The New Order underwent a significant amount of censorship to comply with German laws and regulations concerning Nazi imagery and propaganda.
Gore and Violence#
Surprisingly, the game's graphic violence and excessive gore were largely left intact, with only minor alterations, such as the removal of bodies inside a cremation chamber.
- Blazkowicz's animations weren't adjusted, so he still gestures the motion of pushing the bodies despite the chamber being empty.

Nazi Imagery#
All swastikas and other Nazi symbols were completely removed or replaced. References to the Nazi Party were altered, and unlike previous entries in the series, they are no longer referred to as "the Wolves" but as "the regime". Naturally, these changes were made with the intention of making the game legally acceptable in Germany while preserving the overall narrative and tone of the story.

- The most common example is the replacement of the Swastika and the SS bolts with the Wolfenstein logo and the Wolf insignia, respectively.
