Bull Buchanan#

Was sent back to developmental during the game's development, shortly after Right to Censor disbanded. While "Bull Buchanan" is a selectable Nick Name in Create a Superstar, there still exist commentary clips for his surname, alone.

Scotty 2 Hotty#

Injured for most of 2001. Might also be related to Sexay's firing.

Mark Henry#

Was sent back to developmental, then took a two-year sabbatical to focus on strongman competitions (and subsequently rebuild his gimmick upon return) during development.

Shawn Michaels#

Michaels was likely removed because of his heavily reported unprofessional conduct between March and April 2001, particularly in the build-up to WrestleMania X-Seven. While his actual name is a selectable Nick Name, there exist non-selectable voice clips for his nickname, "the Heartbreak Kid."

Essa Rios#

Although he was employed in the game's timeline, Essa Rios was rarely used on television during that period. While "Essa Rios" is a selectable Nick Name, there are commentary clips for his surname, alone.

Chyna#

Left WWF during development on very bad terms.

There are also wrestler-specific quips from the commentary crew leftover for her:

Chaz#

Left WWF during development. Unlike other characters, he has two sets of commentary calls for his regular name per commentator; second commentary calls are usually reserved for sole surnames or nicknames e.g. "the Heartbreak Kid". Chaz did have a nickname - "Beaver Cleavage" - though that was for a very brief gimmick over two years before this game's release.

Grand Master Sexay#

Fired from WWF in June 2001, during development of the game.

Stables#

There are also voice files by Howard Finkel, Michael Cole, and Tazz corresponding to various tag teams and stables that are either not usable or are renamed in the final game. These include:

  • New Age Outlaws
  • Get Rowdy
  • Too Cool (although their entrance music is available as Rikishi2)
  • 'Lo Down
  • Mean Street Posse
  • Kaientai

Acolytes#

The previous incarnation of the APA, the Acolytes, is still referred to in unused dialogue. The Acolytes became the APA in January 2000,1 nearly 2 years before this game's release, although they are still referred as such in Know Your Role.

The Hollys#

The stable comprised of the three Holly Cousins has, uniquely (and somewhat bizzarely), an announcer call for every possible combination of the trio. The final game does have a stable of Hardcore Holly & Crash, but they are announced separately.

Crash, Hardcore and Molly Holly

Interestingly, if the entrance animation Trio Original 02 plays, and there are somehow less than three superstars selected for the team, the game will default to the members of this non-implemented stable.

Right to Censor#

Although Steven Richards appears in his Right to Censor (RTC) attire, with the stable's titantron and entrance music, the stable itself is not available in-game.

Two RTC members absent from the game - Bull Buchanan and The Goodfather - have their names as selectable Nick Names for Create a Superstar in the final game. There also exist voice clips referencing the two (and only these two) as members of the stable, as well as one for individual members entering as members of the stable:

At a combined weight of 617lbs

Bull Buchanan and The Goodfather: Right to Censor

It should be noted that, other than A.P.A, this is the only stable to have a "representing" announcer clip.

Strangely, there is a unique take of this line stored with Ivory's announcer voice clips:

Ivory is available in-game, and was in Right to Censor, but she appears in her singles incarnation in this game.

The stable also has four commentary voice clips each for Tazz and Cole:

Tazz

Tazz calls the stable "Right to Censorship", which is technically the stable's full name, but differs from every other instance of the full name in this game, "Right to Censor."

Kaientai#

The names of both members of Kaientai are selectable Nick Names in Create a Wrestler, but announcer calls for their stable remain unused.

Edge & Christian#

The stable of Edge & Christian is in the final game, complete with a unique stable call from Howard Finkel. The commentary crew, however, robotically refer to them individually as Edge... and... Christian. There exist commentary calls for the stable as a whole, as well as another for Howard Finkel for "Team E&C":

Tazz

Strangely, only Tazz has a clip where he shouts the stable's name. Stranger still is that these voice clips are stored in VOICE.VPK alongside the clips for individual superstars, not with the clips for stables.

X-Factor#

The maligned stable comprised of Albert and Just Bring It absentees X-Pac and Justin Credible. Their theme music is used by Albert, but the stable itself is not present. Michael Cole does not have any commentary clips for the stable.
