Virtual Virtual Reality is a VR game where you jump into different realities by putting on ever-increasing numbers of headsets. It's really short, though.

Cut Dialogue#
Elevator Dialogue#
The elevator is an often-visited section of the backstage area, and at one point it was apparently intended to be sentient and have a speaking role. The only hint that the elevator is sentient in the final game is a single line from Bernice: "Elevator told me all about you love cutlet." There are various unused scripts leftover from this: ElevatorFloorSpecialPlace.cs, (handles a floor that was cut in the final game) ElevatorTalker.cs, and ElevatorDialogue.cs (all talking NPCs have two scripts like these).
It should be noted that while all dialogue and text in the game is available in 9 languages, the elevator dialogue does not have any transcription or translation in the translation keys file.

elevator_016_keepLooking |
Keep looking... I know one of those headsets leads to the archives. |
|
elevator_019_noClearance2 |
Nope, you don't have clearance for that. If you feel like it you should go talk to Bernice in the archives. She might have a pass to HR. |
|
Elevator_InterruptedByPhone |
Oh, okay. |
|
elevator_020_chazPhone |
Yup, that phone just calls Chaz. I thought about warning you but, whatever. |
|
Elevator_ActPRSequence |
PR coming up! I mean, it's sort of pointless. Let's not go there. |
|
Elevator_BoidServicingSequence |
Do you resent your freedom? Sometimes it's nice to be told what to do. Up or down. Up, or, down. It's quite... simple. You're not moving, you're just sitting there, on top of a big gaping hole. That's pretty much the life. Next. |
|
Elevator_CafeteriaSequence |
Oh are you hungry? I'm only hungry in the starving pit of my soul. Let's move on! |
|
Elevator_ChazGameRoomSequence |
Alright, here we go. Gonna play some games. Play some games with Chaz. Actually, you're already playing. It's an escape game. It's called life. Let that one sink in. |
|
Elevator_CloudSequence.ogg |
I was expecting new, exciting, softer. This floor is as solid and banal as the rest. I'm just gonna sit here f |
|
Elevator_Don'tHaveHRClearence |
Oh, HR. You don't have clearance for that. No biggie. It's pretty boring. Maybe we can go somewhere else. Or just sit here. |
|
Elevator_GoToArchives |
Actually, Chaz closed off access to the archives last quarter. You can still get there though. Just print a new headset from the old Mark. 2 Faceplate Stamper. |
|
Elevator_Welcome |
Oh, hello. Are you going up or down. |
|
Elevator_GreetingReturnFromArchive |
Oh, hi again. |
Elevator's "Special Place"#
In the final game, there are four elevator floors: FLOOR_PANOPTICON, FLOOR_GAMEROOM, FLOOR_ENTRY, and FLOOR_DOORWAYS. A fifth one is unused in the game files, a room filled with beach balls which the elevator would tell you about and bring you to. Presumably, when the elevator's speaking role was cut there was no way to explain this floor, so it was cut as well. The order and inclusion of the lines below is a guess at what the Elevator was intended to have said about this floor. The prefab has ElevatorFloorSpecialPlace.cs attached to it, which can disable an invisible collider, causing the beach balls to spill out of the room.

Elevator_2SpecialPlaceLeadUp |
Okay, so basically all these floors suck. There's only one floor in this whole system that has even a shred of joy. Let me take you to my thinking spot. |
|
Elevator_SpecialPlaceReaction |
Storage? They turned it into storage? Seriously, this has got to be a joke. |
|
elevator_018_beachBalls |
Beach balls? This is how it all ends, beach balls? Maybe someone should complain to Chaz. I'd go to HR myself, but ... meh. |
|
Elevator_ruinsEverything |
Chaz ruins everything. You know what, I hope you do make it to HR and mess shit up. Go see Bernice in the archives, she might have an old pass to HR. |
Other Unused Dialogue#
This dialogue does not follow the naming scheme that the used and elevator dialogue does, and was manually sorted out from the sound effects. None of this has translation keys. Some of these files contain pieces of dialogue that did end up in the final. Curiously, 1pluckHim through 15Boundaries are all sequentially numbered, but there is no "11" audio file.

Miscellaneous#
- In the main menu, the object holding the firefly particles is named "YouWouldNotBelieveYourEyes". This is a reference to "Fireflies" by Owl City.
- In VVR_UNDERHUB_06_TENDEROFFICE_CREDITS (the hidden bonus credits), there is a credits section for Google that is hidden on other releases of the game. (Virtual Virtual Reality was first released for Google Daydream.)
- In VVR_UNDERHUB_03_FAKECOMPUTER (the fake Windows XP background), there is quite a lot of hilly geometry that has been turned off.
- In VVR_LVL_JAIL (the jail Chaz puts you in when you are caught), there are four giant headsets on the walls, all disabled. These can be seen in-game in the reflection map used in that, and other, levels.
- There are, for some reason, some disabled clouds in the underwater scene seen towards the start of the game.
- There are more disabled hills (with broken shaders this time) in the wind turbine level, as well as a second, much larger skybox with a different type of shader that is disabled.

The text-to-speech voice for the Human Union can be found here as the English "Ava" voice.
