Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown is a remaster of sorts of Virtua Fighter 5, now using Ryu ga Gotoku's proprietary Dragon Engine.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon Leftovers#

Textures#

Ichiban Kasuga#

All of Ichiban's face textures are present here. Prior to the Yakuza outfit DLC, his suit textures were also present; while the default "clean" suit is now used for Brad Burns, the bloodied and ruined variants from particular cutscenes in Like a Dragon are not.

Saeko Mukoda#

Saeko's blazer and skirt outfit was present prior to the Yakuza outfit DLC. This, however, is now used by Pai-chan.

Animations#

All of the character facial animations from Like a Dragon are still present in the chara.par archive, inside the face_target folder. Due to the smaller model scaling, however, all of these produce undesirable effects on the VF5 characters should they be forcibly applied.

Easter Egg#

Holding the X button at startup before the Sega logo appears will cause the jingle (usually the "Amazing Sega" dramatic synth) to change to the 1983 "Sega!" jingle.
