The final game in the TwinBee series to receive an arcade release. It essentially plays like a Saturday morning cartoon with huge amounts of voice acting and animated visual set pieces. It's also a really solid game.
Scrapped Localization Leftovers#
Konami had planned an English release of this game under the name of "Magical Twin Bee," but those plans never came to fruition. A copyright registration for the name was filed in the US on October 18, 1996, but never used.
A European localization prototype was since added to the MAME database on July 11, 2021.

Graphics#
In this prototype, some parts of the game were cut (such as the intro and ending cutscenes and the 10th series anniversary screen, although the debug mode can still access them), blanked out (such as the tutorial and menu option explanations or subtitles for the fairy), or left with their untranslated Japanese voice acting (such as the credits roll and most of the game's voice clips). However, all graphics related to the gameplay, like the title screen logo, the weapon and item names, and related text, were given English translations and unique animations. The item names were also translated, albeit without the item descriptions.
The Japanese release does include these English graphics in a separate bank, in the same state of completion as the EAA prototype, but they are never used.
Music#
The Japanese version also includes unused alternate versions of the vocal opening theme Bokura no suteki. They can be played back in-game with RAM manipulation:
Opening and ending variants of the instrumental version of Bokura no suteki. The official soundtrack includes it as track #19 and also refers to it as the ending theme, but the actual game uses the vocal version for the ending and a different instrumental version for the opening, making it more likely this was intended for other regional releases.
Included in the official soundtrack as track #22, Magical Melody is listed as an "Unused Staff Roll BGM". Whether this was in the plans for the Japanese release or other regions where Bokura no suteki couldn't be licensed is anyone's guess.
