This page is rather stubbly and could use some expansion. |
Being a co-op shooter released during the Famicom boom, you better bell-ieve the Famicom version of TwinBee sold like hotcakes in Japan. This version of the game would later be one of the few games lucky enough to be remade as part of the 3D Classics line on the 3DS (not the arcade version, for some reason), and it would also eventually see a global release on the Nintendo Switch Online service.
Build Dates#
Like several other Konami games, an ID string can be found that lists the game version and date at the beginning of the PRG ROM:
RC807.1.0.850328
When transcribed, this the seventh game produced for the system with an odd compilation timestamp of version 1.0 on March 28, 1985. It is extremely likely that the timestamp was never updated when the game began development.

The Famicom Disk System rerelease of the game uses the modern Konami logo and bumps up the copyright year, in addition to swapping it and Konami's name around in the copyright message.
