Tengai Makyou II: Manjimaru was censored from its initial TurboGrafx-CD release to its DS port (and subsequent releases as well).
In the DS port, Fubuki's death cutscene was altered: while she had her hand dismembered in the original, the remake changed the cutscene so that it's violently broken with blood gushing, but still remains attached to her body.
That said, the original gory graphics for the dismemberment are still in the DS version, completely unused. They include Fubuki's body with the open wound, and a separate set of graphics for the hand and blood.
The DS port has the tileset for Fubuki's sprite limping on the ground including the unused severed hand graphic, and the alternate blood pool graphic that replaced it in the censored port.
Completely unused in both the original TurboGrafx-CD and DS versions are the mouth tiles for Fubuki in both her forms for an evil laugh shot. The retail games have her instead laugh audio-only, off-screen.
The BGM for Fubuki's murder cutscene, "Murderous Intent", is only used for this scene but never gets played in full in either version. It is shorter in the DS version than the TurboGrafx-CD one, and leaves around 45 seconds (compared to 20 for the TurboGrafx-CD version) from the 3:03-long track completely unused.
This is due to the DS version shortening how long certain shots in the scene appear. Outside of Fubuki keeping her hand, the rest of the cutscene is relatively intact.
