The only game in the Tempo series to get a European release.
Unused Graphics#
Score Graphic#
This tiny graphic was used to indicate the player's score in an early prototype. However, the final spells out "SCORE" in its entirety, leaving this shortened version unused.
Unused Endings#
Which one of the four endings you receive is based on your score, but since the game's eager to give you large sums of points (unlike its bigger brother), the endings for 0-10,010 points and 10,010-50,000 points go unseen in normal gameplay.
To view them, change RAM addresses C4B9 to C4BE as follows:
New Values |
Resulting Ending |
|---|---|
00 00 00 00 00 00 |
Frying Pan |
00 00 01 00 00 01 |
Guitar |
These addresses must be changed during the fade-out to the ending but before the screen is entirely black; the game gives out your final points immediately prior. Using a password to skip to the final boss won't work, as the game will give you even more points if you don't have any coins!
Level Select#
Press Up, Down, Left, Up, Down, Right, 1, 2 at the title screen. The background will turn red to confirm correct entry. Start the game to enter the level select.
