Super Sprint (NES)

A port of Atari's top-down racing arcade game.

Regional Differences#

To do: The Australian version has not been dumped. Document the regional differences for it when it has been.

Oddly enough, the Japanese version was actually licensed by Nintendo.

US	Japan

The Japanese version replaces the Tengen logo with the Altron one. Also, the PRESENTS text was moved further down in the Japanese version.

US	Japan

The Japanese version uses a different font in all-caps, also adding credits for Atari Games and Tengen Ltd. Strangely, the copyright dates and registered trademark (®) symbol were removed.

US	Japan

The publisher's logo was also changed here, with the Super Sprint logo and player select options moved down to fit the Altron logo.

Victory Screen#

US	Japan

The "VISION" billboard replaced Tengen with Altron. This applies in the Game Over screen as well.

Staff Roll#

This needs some investigation. Discuss ideas and findings on the talk page. Specifically: Check if there is code for this screen to appear the Japanese version. Also, check if the Australian version has the staff roll when its ROM is dumped.

The US version has a staff credits screen that appears after watching the first demo. This was removed from the Japanese version, presumably for being too... American.
