This needs some investigation. |
A Japan-exclusive port of the same-titled Windows FMV adventure/early rhythm game. It's also a fair bit harder than its original counterpart, with misinputs and early/late presses taking a harsher toll on the player's score.
Hidden Developer Screens#
Clicking on the "VIRTUAL MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT" text on the first three pages of the credits screen redirects the player to a screen featuring staff members from Virtual Music. Furthermore, clicking on several developer names on those pages reveal graphics of their faces on the top left corner of the screen.

Unused Graphics#
Nearly all of the game's graphics are actually stored in .STR video containers. With that said, some of these video files go unused or have unseen frames.
Uncredited Developers#
Within MEDIA\BACKRNDS\PICTURES are graphics for a few uncredited developers, meant to be seen in the credits screen.

Unused Screens#
The very first frame of MEDIA\BACKRNS\BKGMENUP.STR contains the main menu background from the Windows release. The buttons are less detailed, and there's additional "How to Play" and "Exit" buttons not seen in the used graphic.
Furthermore, PALOMAR.STR and PRESETN2.STR, both also found in MEDIA\BACKRNDS\PICTURES, are leftover intro credit screens from the Windows release. It's worth to mention that IBM had plans to publish this version of the game in the US; a prototype was shown during E3 1996, and it was scheduled for release later that year2. However, these plans were ultimately not moved forward.
PAUSECON.STR and PAUSEYN.STR are two unused pause screens. When pausing, the game just shows the text "PAUSED"; there are never any prompts or buttons.
Other#
NOTSUPMV.STR contains a leftover error graphic from the Windows release, warning that the player's sound card did not support a certain effect.

Error Messages#
Some error messages can be found within GAME.GSQ and the executables on each disc. Some of these appear to be leftovers from the original Windows release.
