PowerSlave (DOS)

To do:

  • Look at differences in the public beta test and shareware builds. Find them here.
  • Document the two sets of prerelease screenshots (two included in a screenshot pack for Hocus Pocus, and seven found in the Feburary 9th 1996 prototype of Blood).
  • The "Powerslave Artwork" disk sent to Electronic Gaming Monthly has some sprites, including some early sprites for the Bastet and Kilmaatikahn.
  • Sprites exist for an alternate version of the Omenwasp holding and using a crystal orb.
  • Unused screens for the drawings seen in the introductory video.

PowerSlave is a game from a forgotten time when a Build Engine game could name itself after an Iron Maiden album without getting sued. Unless you live outside of the US.

Better known for its console counterpart, which runs on a more robust 3D engine and is more non-linear in design.

Unused Graphics#

Two unused title screens (one titled Powerslave for the US release and another titled Exhumed for the EU release). The EU version uses the brown Terrainian design seen in the public beta.

To do:
Get the proper tile numbers for these.
