Music#
Crystal Cave#
Explorers of Sky changed one of the instruments from a sawtooth wave to a sine wave. This can first be heard 8 seconds into the track.

Memories Returned#
Sky added a 9-second section starting at 00:13. This appears to have been done to accommodate the addition of three lines of dialogue spoken by the partner while keeping the music roughly in synchronization with the accompanying ending cutscene.

Portraits#
|
|
To do: |
Many portraits received revisions for Explorers of Sky, most being very minor palette modifications. This list showcases the more significant changes that are visible with the naked eye. Apart from a handful of portraits with misplaced transparency, only portraits for Pokémon with some kind of expanded role in Sky exhibit any (minor) differences.

The portrait used in Time/Darkness appears to be based on Vulpix's sprites used in the Generation III mainline games, while the portraits used in Sky are a closer match to the sprites used in the Generation IV mainline games and official art. |- |Graveler |NORMAL

|align=center|— |This portrait was entirely redrawn from a mildly annoyed look to a frown. The same change was made to most other "THINK" portraits between Rescue Team and Explorers.
Notably, all of Eevee's hero/partner portraits already received a palette overhaul in Time/Darkness, despite being unused. |- |SHOUT
|align=center|— |Another entirely redrawn portrait, replacing the sneeze with an actual shout. The internal name for the former portrait in naphj10_debug.srl (くしゃみ sneeze)) confirms sneezing is what it was originally intended for, although Rescue Team does also use it as a shout. All "SHOUT" portraits were tweaked between Rescue Team and Time/Darkness to remove the saliva droplets, but Eevee's is the only one to be redrawn completely. |- |DECIDE |

|align=center|— |The "やさしい" (kind/gentle) emotion from Rescue Team was replaced with the "DECIDE" emotion in Explorers. |- |GLADNESS |

Weather#
|
|
To do: |
In Sky, Sandstorm and fog apply a different, animated filter to the gameplay screen, unlike in Time/Darkness, where it's simply a color filter like every other weather. Additionally, when the weather is changed, instead of just stating its name, the message now briefly explains what the weather actually does.
While it does not affect gameplay like regular weather, certain appropriate dungeons such as Steam Cave, Dark Crater and Giant Volcano also received an animated steam filter in Sky.
Dialogue#
Amp Plains#

|
To do: |
Since Explorers of Sky replaced the Luxio tribe with Manectric's group, dialogue was changed within the m12a0801 cutscene in D12P41A, to remove mentions of Luxray's enhanced vision.
