Weapons#
This texture is used for the M67 from Battlefield.
Misc.#
This image of a sun for some reason has a copy within the files.
Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 & 1 leftovers#
There are quite a lot of leftovers from Garden Warfare 2 in Battle for Neighborville a handful are used in certain weapons, though many assets go unused. All of them being in the files implies the game was built off Garden Warfare 2... which is funny given that game is built off of Garden Warfare 1... which was built off of Battlefield 3. A small handful of unused Garden Warfare 1 things are also scattered around in various directories here n there.
Weapons#
A portion of Garden Warfare 2's weapons are still present in the files of bfn, each in varying states of functionality. Some work just fine, others have had alterations and some just don't really work anymore.
Weapons formerly used by playable classes
- U_FistBeam - Super Brainz's former secondary fire. VFX are broken and its stats are modified to be an older version prior to the patch that made SB beams deal 1 damage at long range.
- U_HeroicKick - Former ability for Super Brainz that would launch him forward. Only has 1 magazine as opposed to 2 like it did back in the previous game.
- U_TallNut_Battlement - Former ability for the cactus where it would place a wall of tallnuts. Seems to work fine outside of the wall place being invincible.
- U_NeedleShot_New - Cactus's old primary weapon. VFX are broken but everything else seems to be the exact same.
- U_UltraTackle - Former Ultra Tackle ability for all-star. VFX are broken and sounds related have seemingly been removed. Still works just fine.
- U_AllStarShield - Former Dummy Shield ability for All-star. Deploys the dummy object fine, although its invincible, likely bugged.
- U_ButterBuster - Former Butter Barrage ability for Kernel Corn. Allows you to spam it, although it does nothing.
- Bigger Better Butter - Projectile data for the butter that drops from the bigger better butter ability is present, though no artillery to call it in, or any unlock asset for it to use.
- U_SpikeWeed - Former version of Spikeweed for the Chomper. Works fine aside from the object being invincible. Also retains the ability to instantly swallow enemies when attacking them whilst snared.
- U_SpikySpikeWeed - Same thing as the spikeweed except its for the Spiky Spikeweed instead.
- U_Citron_OrangeLaser - Citrons old primary weapon. Uses sounds from his new Navel laser weapon. Stats are changed to be more focused on splash rather than direct hit.
- U_CitronBallForm - Citrons old ball form ability. Now unused given his ball form is used as his sprint.
- U_GW2EngineerTurret - Engineers old Big Bolt Blaster ability. Model doesn't show, interestingly has new sounds assigned to it. Works fine otherwise.
- U_TurboJackhammer - Engineers old Turbo Jackhammer alternate ability. Works fine and can actually stack with his sprint, which when modded in is quite the sight.
- U_SonicGrenade - Engineers old Sonic Grenade ability. Works exactly as its GW2 version.
- U_GoatTaunt_1/2/3 - Abilities that were available to the goat back in GW2. Popcap apparently decided that he, doesn't deserve the ability to dance or scratch his ear anymore...
- U_PeaSpeedBuff - Former Hyper Ability for the peashooter. Has a much shorter duration compared to its GW2 version for some reason.
- U_PirateCannon - Former Cannon Rodeo Ability for Captain Deadbeard. Has no animation, cannon or VFX, but seems to work just fine otherwise.
- U_Goat - Old version of the Goat ability for rose. Still works like it did in the previous game.
- U_BindingVines - Former time snare ability for rose. Interestingly was updated to disable sprinting during its active duration, so was likely considered to still be a part of her kit before being replaced.
- U_SunflowerTurretHeal - Former Heal flower ability for the Sunflower class. Only lasts for 10 seconds as opposed to 30 back in Garden Warfare 2.
- U_Super_SmokeGrenade - Former Super Stink Cloud ability for FootSoldier. Works fine though VFX seem to be broken.
Weapons formerly used by AI
- U_AI_ArmorBreaker_Feastivus - Turret weapon used by the Feastivus version of the Armour Breaker bot.
- U_AI_LaserTurret_Bling - Turret weapon used by the Bling Gatling Bot. Has had its sound patched changed to use noises from the buildable engineer turrets in GW2.
- U_AI_AllStarJump - Formerly used by Bezerkers since the first game. Has soldier rocket jump sounds attached to it but otherwise does nothing.
- U_BerzerkerSprint - Primary weapon used by Bezerkers. Everything about it remains intact.
- U_GargantuarSlam - Primary used by Gargantuar... yes, even though Gargantuar himself is in BFN, he doesn't actually use the primary made for him.
- U_AIGargantuarImp - Imp cannon ability that was used by Gargantuar... He instead uses Giga Gargantuars, which was modified to function exactly like the normal impcannon. Its a bit strange to be honest.
- U_GargChargeAttackDummy - Formerly used by Gargantuars to initiate a charge based attack. Its other counterpart used to finish the move with a slam is missing.
- U_GargantuarJump - Formerly used way back in GW1 as a way for Gargantuars to leap onto buildings... I wonder if thats how they got on the roof back in the first tower defense game.
- U_CannonShoot - Former primary weapon for captain smasher. Seems to function the same though is missing sounds.
- U_SummonPirates - Former summon weapon for captain smasher. They still summon cone heads, although their cosmetics are strangely set to use captain deadbeards model, resulting in them appearing horrifically broken and stretching.
- U_AI_YetiIceStorm - Former airstike weapon used by the Yeti. Is largely intact.
- U_AIYetiKingMeleeSwipe - Former melee attack for the Yeti King. Oddly is missing the spread that deals the damage.
- U_Torchwood_ClubSlam - Former primary weapon for the now unused Big Stump. Shame to see you go so soon.
- U_AI_TankTrooperRifle - The only variant who seems to have a weapon of some kind still intact. Has less damage and a modified sound patch. Only the AI version exists, the player version was likely removed.
Character Data#
A handful of characters and Objects from GW2 and even GW1 Have leftover data. Most were repurposed into the new limited roster though some still linger around and left unused, although no weapons remain.
- Yeti chomper - Only aiming related data remains which is assigned to the delivery goats now unused weapon.
- Druid Rose - Ditto but for the now unused giga gnome mushroom orb weapon.
- Flax Cannon - Overheat sounds are assigned to SB's unused beam secondary fire.
- Cheesy Goop - Flyby sound is used for dreadwood and BlightCap (yes even though the sponsorship for cheetos was 5 years old at this point, they are still using sounds from the cheetos collab).
- Camo Ranger - Has a flyby sound that is assigned to the rocket turret. Weapon name also still exists as a string.
- Plasma pea - Sounds were repurposed into hypno flower and... the launch pads... Talk about a downgrade.
- Toxic Brainz - Name of his legendary meter still exists as a string.
Models#
Many models of GW2 can be found here, although many of them are missing their respective textures, likely either due to them being removed or having an error displaying due to BFN running on a newer version of frosty.

Gargantuars old model from Garden Warfare 2. All of his textures are still present although they aren't attached to the model. Also has 2 additional level of detail stages that aren't present in GW2 or GW1.

Unused model of the level 4 engineer turret, this was present previously in GW2 and GW1, where it also went unused.

Model that was formerly used by the emo minions summoned by Baron Von Bats... who now summons bucket heads instead.

Treasure yeti's old model from GW2.

Model that was used by the Zombie Heal Station that was formerly a part of scientist's kit.

Model that was used by the unused bling version of the Zombie Heal station, which also goes unused here given Scientist no longer uses heal stations.

Model that was used by the Psycheledic goat. Has all of its textures intact and actually present on the model, surprising given every other older model doesn't have their textures.
Solid Colors#
Weapons#
Misc.#
These 3 colors are internally named "Basic Textures." The yellow one is known as Normal_default in the files, which may mean this is what is automatically chosen if no other option is selected.
Electric Pea Splash#

Both of these appear to be for the Electric Pea projectile blowing up.
Abilities for Plants#

Leftover textures from what's presumably Arcane Enigma.
All of these textures were used in Gw2 for the Butter Barrage ability for Kernel Corn, specifically the baked potato that he throws.

Textures for the butter in the Butter Barrage ability for Kernel Corn.
Patterns#
Texture files for the Psychedelic goat model can be found internally.
A texture for detail wood. Not much else to say,
A texture for a detail map. The most notable thing is just the seemingly random placements of the dots forming a weird pattern.
Lighting#
All of these are used for lighting. Presumably for testing purposes but was found in one of the PVZ Gw2 categories.
Bubbles#
Some bubbles that was found in the Gw2 characters folder. Not sure which characters use it though.
NPC Zombies#
A texture for the Zen Sensei.

All of these are used for the Coffin Zombie in PVZ Gw2.
Goats#

Both of these images were specifically used for the Psychedelic goat character that spawned from enemies zombies being hit with the psychedelic goatify ability from GW2.
This burger texture was used for the projectile thrown by Delivery Goat, who only appears in the ZomBurger missions. These missions nor delivery Goat do not appear in game.
Zombie Abilities#
This a texture for the Gravity Grenade.

These were used for Captain Deadbeard's abilities. The solid gray square is for the cannon ball used in the Cannon Rodeo ability. The texture on the right is for the Parrot Pal.
The original Dummy Shield textures used in the previous installment, can be found in the files.
Bots#
This texture was used for the Feastivus bot.
Projectiles#

The "normal" version of the splash that the Concrete Launcher uses after the projectile hits something. The "PSA version seems to be more like how it actually appears but for some reason there is a little bit of red and there are a bunch of black scribbles.
This texture is used for the projectile that Ice Pea shoots.
Mechs#
This texture is used for the Cone Bomb ability in PVZ Gw2.
Grass#
This is just grass. Nothing else to say.
St. Patricks Day#
An image for the St. Patrick's Day, themed thing, but seems to not be ever used in any of the Garden Warfare games or any of the PVZ games for that matter, could have possible been meant for some sort of luck of the zombie related event that might have been previously planned for the other 2 shooters.
Simple stuff#
A simple wooden wall design.
A hexagonal floor. Still rather simple.
A repeating pattern for a aquatic themed wallpaper.
This is a stone texture with some dirt on top. Presumably this was used in the map Seeds of Time from the previous game.
New Jersey?#
For some reason, this file is named New Jersey Day. This probably is just a lighting test, given its also present in GW2.
Clouds#
These are shadows for the clouds. Nothing much.
Cast Iron Color#
A cast iron color.
Bicycle#

The texture would have formed a basket case on a bicycle. The second texture would have been used for the actual bicycle.
Snow#
Textures for a car covered with snow.
This texture uses an icy snow pattern.
