A game about pushing as many balls to the enemy side as you can.
Level Select#
At the character select, highlight the character to be chosen, hold Left + B and press A to add a number to the bottom-right corner of the screen. Press Up / Down to toggle it and press A to go to the level calculated by formula: ((number-1)*4)+1, so you actually may select every 4th level in this game (1, 5, 9,...37 max).
Sound Test#
At the character select, press B + Select at exactly the same time to cycle through the game's music.

When the game starts up, there is an introductory screen that differs on all three game versions. Only on the Japanese version, it will scroll in from the bottom, stay stuck for a while and then scroll off to the top.

When the game was released outside of Japan, the game mode selection was moved up to make room for copyright information text. While the US version stayed mostly faithful to the original by translating "Penguin-Kun Wars Vs." to "Penguin Wars", the European version received a new name and new title screen graphics.
Note that the ball sprite has a white glow on the Japanese version but a grey glow on the other two game versions.
Game Result#

The Japanese version will erroneously refer to a game as a set. This has been fixed in the international game versions.

The text after a set is completed has been improved, getting rid of Engrish "Next game start!" and "Congratulation!".
An exclamation mark has been added after Game Over.

There is an additional "Special Thanks" card on the International versions that is not present on the Japanese version. For some reason, "See you again!" was changed to "See you soon !" with an exclamation after the again, even though the former was not incorrect and is more used in video-games, and the latter sounds more personal.
