This page is rather stubbly and could use some expansion. |
Within the game's files are lots of unused images,
Heist Contractors
Within the games files are a few early renditions/mockups of the contractors that are associated with the game's heists. Most of them are placeholders before we would see the clips from the web series that are still present today.
(Note; A background has been added to help with transparency.)
General
This unused portrait exists duplicated for each contractor, it would've appeared on CrimeNet and is in a folder with the files that make up things like markers and difficulty when highlighting a heist, Possibly appearing next to the marker itself instead of just having the name of the contractor above it.
The Elephant
|
Hector
Rather amusingly, the early version of Hector shown above is portrayed by former producer and known community head Almir Listo.
Vlad Kozak
His depiction here is quite different and appears as though they hadn't brought in Ilia Volok to portray him yet.
Strangely, within Vlad's contact folder, are these 'effect' images, that, when combined, make a face.
When combined, they make this:
This contractor doesn't resemble any of the contractors we see in the final game.
Dallas
Dallas was originally set to appear as a contractor for the game, though it's currently unknown which heists he would've been associated with. He is still being portrayed as Karl Lakner, his original actor from Payday: The Heist.
Menu Images
Loot Cards
An older set of the loot cards that you receive at the end of a heist, of note are the numbered cards and Joker.
Mission Overview
An unused image of a few mission overviews that's been in the files since release, shows a few interesting things; Namely a forest area that might've been from Rats day 1,
Alongside a VERY early version of what appears to be the big bank heist! On top of that is a docks area, possibly used for Watchdogs day 2, or the conceptual docks loading screen seen below.
Loading Screens
Within the files for the game's loading screens are several stock or conceptual images, notably all of the 'score' jobs mentioned in leaked beta heist listings have screens present.
Score: Yacht
A conceptual image for a 'score' job, showing the yacht heist that we would eventually get with the John Wick DLC heists. Of note is that a yacht heist was in the works even as far back as Payday: The Heist's development, and that the layout here matches what can be seen from an unused image in PD:TH. Alongside that, Heisters would've ziplined onto the boat, which was still docked during the heist instead of out sailing, and you would've been able to go loud (or at least the escape would go loud, which keeps in line with the lack of 100% stealth-able heists from the first game), and have to escape.
Score: Docks
Another score, this time set at a dock where you would've broken in and stolen... something. It's very likely that it would've been much like a few other heists in the game where a specific day or heist was turned into a more generic version, (Firestarter day 3 becoming the Bank Heist, Ukranian Job becoming Jewelry Store, etc..) With this dock heist being re-used from Watchdogs day 2.
We would eventually get a heist set at a dockyard with the Butcher's Bomb Heists.
Score: Airport
Another score, this time set at an airport, Possibly a similar situation as the above heist with the recycled day being Firestarter Day 1.
It is wroth mentioning that there is an unused heist that would've been given by Vlad, where you would've stolen weapons from an airport that were seized during transport -- Perhaps this was going to be used for that day, until it got turned into Firestarter.
Score: Crossing
An image of a city street, of note is that the taxi mentions New York City.
Score: Crackhouse
Another image- this time depicting a crackhouse.
