This needs some investigation. |
Don't be a low-res fool, Marshaaaaall! The spaghetti-western cousin of another recently-remastered LucasArts FPS classic jumps back on the saddle for one last ride.
Developer Comment#
The vault.kpf archive includes a brief message from a developer on the remaster in vault/original_tooling_shots/message.txt, lamenting a popular MS-DOS emulator's screenshot functionality.
While I appreciate DOSBox Staging changing to allow for aspect-correct screenshots,
I am really saddened that it doesn't capture the palette as part of the png if the current video mode is indexed.
Also I will confess I wish you still had the option to have the exe screenshotted in the filename, rather than it being image{:04}.png.
I should make issues for those. I miss them dearly, and was extremely confused when I updated DOSBox Staging during development of this.

Unused Vault Material#
Object Types Screenshot#
All of the AutoCAD screenshots in the Vault show it running in Windows 95 at 800x600. In vault/original_tooling_shots/acad/ACAD_Obj_Types_W11.png, however, is an unused screenshot of it running under Windows 11 in 4k resolution, providing a close look at the object palette used by the level designers to place objects into their levels (complete with some occasionally amusing categorization, with some easter egg-related objects like Max simply filed under "Uh... Stuff"!)

1.2.1 (1924)#
Released on July 16th, 2026.

PC:
- Added a scrollbar to menus which let you pick levels, to fix a bug where you were unable to select custom levels past a certain point.
- Added a console variable called g_showNameTags, which allows you to completely disable player name tags in multiplayer, on your local machine.
