Scrapped Characters#

As many as twelve characters were scrapped during development, with another three receiving heavy revisions, with the only remaining references being in the text files.

Autumn#

A character with the Tasty interest, Autumn is the only wholly scrapped character with a full biography written for them.

Mr. Wilfred Clickyclack#

Evidently the train station featured in-game was at one point meant to be a fully functional building with an owner, Mr. Wilfred Clickyclack, which also lines up with the train station depicted in the early version of the opening narrative. He also has a very basic biography wrtten.

Chef Bob Librarian#

Chef Bob Librarian appears to be a test character created as a duplicate of Chef Gino, as the character is labelled as TEST in the file NPC_Strings.lua, and the biography instead refers to Chef Gino's early name of Papa Chef. The residence name "Pipa's Cuchina" seems to be a deliberate misspelling of early Chef Gino's "Papa's Cuchina".

Critter Interactions#

A third type of NPC's were meant to be included in the game, but were ultimately scrapped, these being the critter. One known critter is the hedgehog, documented above. It was re-implemented in MySims Kingdom, but the hedgehog did not return in that game either.

WiiConnect24#

The Wii version of the game would have incorporated elements of WiiConnect24 to send objects made in-game. However the feature was cut before the release of the Wii version, but remains still linger in the Windows version. The basic idea of sending objects made in-game to friends was brought back in a different form in the Windows version with the ability to export objects as external files to send off.

Poppy's Sofa#

Poppy originally had a fourth task the player could have done for her, with her asking the player to make her a sofa.

Cores#

Apparently, the player would have originally needed items called "cores" to build certain objects. The only specific known core is the water core, which would have been obtainable from the fountain.
