All characters have animations for climbing ladders, but none appear in the game. The only ladders in the game appear in the early, unused tilesets.

Loss animations for each character. These were later used in Mega Man 2: The Power Fighters.

While these animations for the Slash Claw weapons are found in the game, they are oddly unused. They just come out of each character's buster, which looks rather odd. The stationary and jumping animations made their way into The Power Fighters.

These animations are used in The Power Fighters when characters are run over by the Mad Grinder. There's nothing to flatten these characters in The Power Battle.

Mega Man#

The supercharged buster shot is an obscure feature, usable by charging your buster for two seconds while on your last two energy bars. While the standing animations and shots are used, the jumping shot animations are not.

These three frames appear after Mega Man's victory animation, and were probably intended to end it.

Proto Man#

More unused supercharged animations, as well as alternate ladder shot animations.

Looks like Proto Man was going to actually use his shield for, well, shielding. Sadly, this ability isn't present in the final version. However, he does use it in the Versus mode exclusive to Rockman: Power Battle Fighters port for PlayStation 2.

Bass#

Two unused shooting sequences for Bass.

Another unused supercharged shot animation.

What appear to be unused, different dashing frames and an alternate hurt animation.

Dr. Wily#

While they bothered to make turning frames for each form of Dr. Wily's machine, they didn't bother to actually use them.

One of the Wily Machine's attacks is to drop bombs. This animation was supposed to be used, but in the final game they just sort of appear.

Other#

Apparently Roll was supposed to appear in a normal stage, but her only appearance in the final game is a picture in Mega Man's ending. MegaARCMagnetTurn.gif

Just like in Mega Man 3, the Magnet Missile has a set of unused turning animations.
