Debug Menu Listing

This is a sub-page of Mario Party 3.

'...But what does it mean?'
This game has text or audio that needs to be translated. If you are fluent with this language, please read our translation guidelines and then submit a translation!
Notes: Some early titles don't sound much like the final Mini-Game at all. Get translations.

Mario Party 3 contains two separate debug menus: a rough one with debug entries and results screens, and a more polished one containing only Mini-Games. Though the games they lead to are the same, these lists have textual differences, with the second list having correct or finalized versions of the Mini-Game titles.

The later list is accessible in the USA prototype dump by holding A while the game boots.

You can use the following GameShark codes to access them. During a screen transition, hold L for the first list or R for the second.

Below is a comparison of the two lists. Entries that were edited are marked in bold.

Notable Differences#

  • Judging by the older title, Crazy Cogs originally involved Bob-ombs (Bomhei) instead of Bullet Bills (Killer).
  • The original titles of two of the ice-themed Mini-Games, Thwomp Pull and Ice Rink Risk, suggest differences as well, with their original titles being Hurry Up, Chain Chomp! and Koopa Troopa Island. They may have taken on icey themes so the game had more Mini-Games to match the board Chilly Waters.
  • Rockin' Raceway is grouped with the Battle mini-games, and Locked Out is grouped with the 4-player mini-games.

Regional Differences#

  • 293:LAST5TURN exists only in the Japanese version. In other versions it is blanked or replaced.
  • The message check is not found in either of the Japanese debug menus. It was added as ***:MESS just after 272 in the second menu in the North American and European versions.
  • The following entries were added to the first European list:
