This is a sub-page of LittleBigPlanet (PlayStation Portable).
Tools Bag#
boombox_interactive#

USRDIR/archives/lbp_archive.arc/meshes/gadgets/sound_objects/boombox_interactive.model is an Interactive Music Object from the PS3 version of LittleBigPlanet. There is no multi-track music in this game, rendering this unused.
camera_spy#

USRDIR/archives/lbp_archive.arc/meshes/gadgets/camera_spy/camera_spy.model is the Photo Booth from the PS3 game.
Coloured Sound Objects#
Sound Object Models |

![]() |
In the Audio section of the Tools Bag, sounds effect icons are colour coded based on their category (yellow for Animals, red for Comedy, purple for Environmental, etc). This was intended to carry over to sound objects placed in the scene, as USRDIR/archives/lbp_archive.arc/meshes/gadgets/sound_objects/speaker/ contains models for all nine speaker colours. The white speaker (meant for Musical sounds) is used for every sound object, rendering the others unused.
Interestingly, a yellow speaker can be seen on the badge for the level Get the Hump, at the bottom of the camel's neck.
joint_attachment#
USRDIR/archives/lbp_archive.arc/meshes/gadgets/joints/joint_attachment.model is an early attachment point for joint connectors.
joint_pin_motorised#

USRDIR/archives/lbp_archive.arc/meshes/gadgets/joints/joint_pin_motorised.model is a bolt with a cog texture behind it. It is a low-poly version of a similar model from the PS3 game.
joint_piston#
USRDIR/archives/lbp_archive.arc/meshes/gadgets/joints/joint_piston.model is a more detailed model of the Piston connector.
joint_rod#
USRDIR/archives/lbp_archive.arc/meshes/gadgets/joints/joint_rod.model is a high-poly model for the Rod connector.
joint_ring#
USRDIR/archives/lbp_archive.arc/meshes/gadgets/joints/joint_ring.model is a copper loop. It is a low-poly version of a model that only appears in prototypes of the original LittleBigPlanet (namely the Deploy Build). The design documents for the original LittleBigPlanet indicate that it was a grabbable object that would appear at the end of a joint connector (such as string or a winch) if only one of the two ends was attached to an object.
spring#
USRDIR/archives/lbp_archive.arc/meshes/gadgets/spring/spring.model is an early iteration of the Spring connector with a fully 3D coil, as opposed to the final which uses a 2D texture.
Goodies Bag#
aborigineman01#

USRDIR/archives/lbp_archive.arc/meshes/prefabs/australia/aborigineman01/aborigineman01.model contains three different versions of an aborigine character, which presumably would've appeared throughout the Down Under levels. The rightmost one occupies the Thin layer, while the left and middle versions occupy one Thick layer (with rounded and flat edges respectively) and are holding didgeridoos in their hands.
On the Thick layer models, the legs are modelled separately from the torsos, which in turn have sections cut out for said legs to slide in and out of, suggesting they were intended to be animated in-game with a piston or spring.
large_sleeping_camel#

USRDIR/archives/lbp_archive.arc/meshes/prefabs/persia/large_sleeping_camel/large_sleeping_camel.model is a sleeping cloth camel. Based on its directory, it was intended to appear in The Bazaar; Camels don't appear in this theme, and while there are camels in Golden Sands, those are represented with in-game materials and stickers rather than 3D models.

USRDIR/archives/lbp_archive.arc/meshes/prefabs/persia/persian_cat/ contains six models for the bouncing cats that appear in Rugs and Kisses, the third main Bazaar level. Of these, only persian_cat_01_head.model is actually used in-game.
Early Director#

USRDIR/archives/lbp_archive.arc/meshes/prefabs/hollywood/director/ contains an early design for the Director, the Creator Curator of Tinsel Town. He's comprised of two models: directorbody.model and directorhead.model; the render on the left shows the two models assembled into a complete character.
leadingladylegs#

USRDIR/archives/lbp_archive.arc/meshes/prefabs/hollywood/leadinglady/leadingladylegs.model is a set of 3D legs intended for the Leading Lady, also from Tinsel Town.
stickman#
USRDIR/archives/lbp_archive.arc/meshes/prefabs/global/stickman/ contains models and textures for a stickman character. There are six models in all, with the arm and leg having separate models for the left and right sides of its body; the render on the left shows all the pieces assembled into a complete character.
Pod#
mobile_rocket#

USRDIR/archives/lbp_archive.arc/meshes/frontend/mobile_rocket.model is an early metalic version of the Pod, intended for the main menu. Curiously, the option to change costumes is represented by a 3D Sackboy looking out of the window, rather than a 2D image of a coat hanger.
podbrick#

USRDIR/archives/lbp_archive.arc/backgrounds/pod/podbrick.model is a cube with a rope texture applied to it. Technically, this is used as the repeating floor mesh by the background of the "My Sack person" level (accessed from My Pod on the main menu), however, the area you spawn in is too high above the level's boundaries for it to be visible.
