Anti-Piracy#

As with most of the later released Taito published SNES games, the game runs a simple copy protection check when the main menu is loaded up to ensure it has exactly 8KB of SRAM. This is done by writing two bytes of values at $307FFC and then a different set of values at $317FFC to ensure the SRAM mirror is in the correct location. If this check fails due to a mismatch, the game gets stuck in an infinite loop and the save menu will not pop up, disallowing the player from being able to start a game.
