In Your Face is a one-on-one (or two-on-two) half-court street basketball game. It appears to be based on a previous basketball game published by Jaleco on the NES known as Hoops. An arcade game with the same name (but not the same gameplay) was also planned to be released.
Unused Graphics#
There are unused graphics that suggest the game was initially going to be called Basket Kid — or, alternatively, Basket Kids. There are two sets of tiles which can form either title, though the "Kid" variant appears to be incomplete. These may have also been working titles for a potential Japanese release which never came to fruition.
