Unused Sounds#
Placeholders#
There are a few placeholder voice clips that use a text-to-speech voice and have different scripts. Many of these are used in the prototype.

Bonus Feature Leftovers#
The gameplay footage seen in the bonus features is dated seemingly after the prototype, but still with some changes.
|
|
This needs some investigation. |
- The walnuts still use their early design.
- The ice platforms are still present in the cutscene of Scrat falling into a cave in Waterpark 01.
- In the Whack-A-Possum intro from Forest 03, Sid's mouth isn't moving.
- The graphics of Forest 03 look very different, seemingly being from a build before the prototype.
Version Differences#
PC#
- When played in a widescreen resolution, the FMVs are in their proper aspect ratio instead of letterboxed and stretched like other versions.
- More options were added to the display options: Video Mode (changes the resolution), FullScreen (changes the game from windowed to fullscreen), Effects (adds some effects, for worse PCs), Shadows (adds shadows for characters, for worse PCs), and Particle Detail (change for PC requirements).
- The FMVs use Bink Video. The copyright screen was updated to accommodate for this.
- The bonus feature "Harper Collins" is not spaced, likely an oversight due to being correct on other versions: "HarperCollins".
- About "Harper Collins", the main menu music doesn't play when you look at the pictures for some reason.
Wii#
Due to being released a little later than the other versions, the Wii version has a few changes.
- The FMVs were changed to show either different movie clips or change the concept art slideshows to movie clips. They are in 4:3 instead of letterboxed 16:9, making any movie footage shown be the 4:3 pan-and-scan version seen on the fullscreen DVD, international VCDs, and the small amount of international VHS releases. The audio was kept the same, but the intro cutscene shows the movie version of the footage (except with the first part being textless) instead of the teaser version. Due to this, when the game is played in 16:9, the FMVs are stretched like the PS2, GameCube and Xbox versions. The cutscene that plays after Forest was also extended with some new lines from Manny, and a new cutscene was added before Waterpark 04 showing the film clip of Scrat trying to get the nut but getting stuck in an ice circle.
- The copyright screen got updated to mention the film title.
- The 20th Century Fox logo from 1994-2010 with the 1998 updated fanfare was added before the Blue Sky Studios logo and is letterboxed.
- The font seems to have been changed a little bit.
- The seal at the start of Waterpark 01 had its design changed.
