Sanrio decided that a mere crossover with Animal Crossing wasn't enough, wanting to reference a South Park joke, and thus Hello Kitty Island Adventure was born on Apple Arcade. Featuring the long awaited return of Big Challenges!

Some 3D-rendered sprites used for UI prototyping still exist in the game files.

The purpose of this placeholder is unknown, but it is presumably to do with the puzzle rooms.

Character Silhouette Art#
Silhouette art is used for island visitors that are not yet unlocked. TOPHAT and Big Challenges are permanent friends in the final game, so it is unlikely this artwork will ever be used.
Early UI Mockups#
A screenshot of the friend UI, dated March 16 2023. The game allows you to ask each friend every day for a clue on what another character likes, however this information is not hidden and is always available on the friend page. Thus, the hidden 'likes' appears to be a cut feature.
