Habbo Hotel (before known as Hotelli kultakala in Finland) is a virtual social hangout for teens. The website is operated by Sulake, a Finnish corporation. The game comes from a different game designed by Aapo Kyrölä and Sampo Karjalainen, Mobiles Disco.

The game has reached a very high amount of users archiving the possibility to open more instances of "hotels" in different languages. The game has a userbase with ages around 13-18 years old.

The game allows you to create your very own chat room in the shape of a hotel room with furniture and stuff rendered in a isometric view, meet new friends, chat with other players, organize parties, have virtual pets, create and play games, and complete challenges.

This needs some investigation.

Army Teleport#

A anti-tank mine teleport is found in the game's furni data, but it has never been officially released. Although it was accidentally released in the catalog on October 6, 2025, costing 1 credit and remaining available for a few minutes until it was subsequently removed from catalog and player inventories. As the technical name suggests, it belongs to the "Army" line and consists of a teleporter that, when stepped on, displays a smoke and blood effect before teleporting the player to another teleporter. The reason why it was not released is unknown, but it is possible that the bloody effect produced when using it was an obstacle. HabboHotel-Army c15 telemine.png
