GT Mode#
A/B-Spec Events#
Some changes were made to the various A-Spec/B-Spec events of GT Mode:
- In both the A-Spec and B-Spec versions of the Lightweight K-Car Cup event, both the Honda S500 '63 and the Honda S600 '64 have been removed from the list of possible opponents.
- In both the A-Spec and B-Spec versions of the European Hot Hatch Championship event, the Ford Focus ST170 '03 has been removed from the list of possible opponents.
- In both the A-Spec and B-Spec versions of the British Lightweights event, the Ford RS200 '84 has been removed from the list of possible opponents.
- In both the A-Spec and B-Spec versions of the Japanese Championship event, the Infiniti G35 Coupe '06 has been removed from the list of possible opponents.
- Opponents have been rebalanced and tuned/modified for the B-Spec versions of the Sunday Cup and Pick-Up Truck Challenge events.
- Level offsets have been added to the B-Spec versions of the FR Challenge, World Classic Car Series and European Classic Car Championship events.
Special Events#
For the game's Special Events:
- Seven additional unused events for the Beginner level of the Jeff Gordon NASCAR School were added to the game's files.
- Two additional unused events for the Beginner level of the Top Gear special event were added to the game's files. Both events consist of single-lap, one-make races which have the player compete for 1st place against three opponents while starting in 4th, with the first event using the Jaguar XKR Coupe '10 and the second event using the Aston Martin DB9 Coupe '06.
- A single unused event for the Sebastian Loeb Rally Challenge was added to the game's files. This fourth event appears to be a duplicate of the third event that takes place on Chamonix Main that was used only for testing purposes.
- The course that is used for all three challenges of the Top Gear special event was changed from topgear to topgear_event.
Database#
The developers were in-progress of updating and transitioning the database to a new major version, from GT5_JP3009 to GT5_JP3010. This new major version would be the very last version of the database format that originated with some early builds of Gran Turismo 4 Prologue.
During the transition, several tables of the old version, GT5_JP3009, were updated:
