This is a sub-page of Fortnite: Save the World (Windows, Mac OS X).
In Fortnite: Save the World's earlier builds, there were many characters and character designs that ended up either being altered, or scrapped altogether. Additionally, many associated cosmetics with these characters ended up being scrapped or altered too.
In rare cases, some backpacks that were used by these characters were repurposed into decorating survivor shelters in the final game. These backpacks will be labeled as such for when they appear on the list.
Husks#
Unlike many of the player models from the earlier builds of Fortnite, many enemy designs ended up staying the same up until the final release of the game. Despite this, there are still a handful of unused enemies and designs.
Armored Husk#
A metallic version of the normal Husk, Armor can be taken away by damaging the Husk.
It is possible these were reworked into the Chrome Husks.
Werewolf#
The Werewolf was originally planned to be a Husk Type during Fortnitemares, in Online Test 6.5, the enemy appears to be mostly finished.
It has associated blueprints, materials, as well as a behavior tree. This can be seen below.
The only things that appear to be missing are a finished model, and animations. The model never made it passed a blockout phase, and thus does not visually match the style of the other Husks.
Worth noting that while it has no animations, if summoned in-game, it re-uses the Husk's default animations due to sharing a Rig and AnimBP.

Old Blaster Design#
As a placeholder, the Blaster mist monster originally used a slightly larger, purple variant of the normal husk enemy. In addition, it also had lightning effects around its face.
Differences in Behavior#
The Alpha Blaster does not possess a huge difference in behavior to its modern counterpart. The only difference in behavior is that, in the final game, when a Blaster is spawned or wakes up, it will take a few steps back and attempt to distance itself from the player before opening fire. This version of the Blaster does not do that.
An in-game look at the monster and its behavior can be seen here.
Heroes#
NOTE: HID's are what the game uses to identify heroes, and will be used in-place of proper names if they don't exist.
Laser Trooper#
Up until v1.10, there was a Mythic Hero that used the appearance of the Renegade Raider's original design, it is unknown why this wasn't released.
Berserker Head Hunter#
An unused hero added with v3.3, it has no model assigned to it's HID. Watch on YouTube
Miss Bunny Penny (early)#
In v3.3 (one update before v3.4, when she was properly released.), Miss Bunny Penny's HID was added into the game, although it is using a model from one of the other Constructors. Watch on YouTube
Proto Dude#
A test hero used for testing abilities. Watch on YouTube
Abilities#
Seeker#
The Seeker is a scrapped gadget that would fire a missile that locks on to the enemy. Please note that due to many files of this gadget being missing, a mockup using a modified item to execute the ability's functions has been used.
Grappling Hook#
This gadget functions similarly to the early version of the Grappler from Battle Royale, but it uses a unique model.
