Earnest Evans is an oddball whip-em-up with unique ragdoll-like animations and bizarre situations. Though the game was released on CD in Japan, the US got it in cartridge form, and lost pretty much all of its Madhouse-produced cutscenes. It is the second in a trilogy of games, which include El Viento and Anett Returns, but Earnest Evans is the first chronologically.

The ROM oddly includes a plethora of leftover data from (the Japanese version of) Namco's Marvel Land. However, both games' development have zero crossover. Marvel Land includes a build date of April 1991, while Earnest Evans' date is December 1991.
The prototype ROM includes data from OutRun in its place.
