Deca Sports is, as the title may suggest, a sports game featuring ten different activities.

Scrapped Team#

There are remnants of a planned tenth team that didn't make it into the final game.

Team Name#

In addition to entries 050_tm01 to 050_tm09 of the text TSV table (found in windows_us.alz) storing the names of every team found in the final game, there is also an entry labeled 050_tm10 for a team named "Mighty Mice".

Several of the images found inside of window_us.alz and window_jp.alz that store team icons (respectively, team member faces), such as pl_wind_us.tpl (respectively, pl_face_us.tpl), also contain icons for the scrapped Mighty Mice team.

Teams#

Although the team names in the JP version had already been in English (albeit transcribed into Katakana), they were still replaced by new names in the US version (presumably because the JP names would sound awkward to an English-speaking audience); the team icons were also changed to reflect the new names.
