Unused Dialogue

This is a sub-page of Dark Souls II.

Most NPCs will have cut dialogue relating to an unused event where they are trapped, and will request the player to unlock whatever they are trapped in. There's dialogue for:

::*The Initial Encounter           (9000-9100)

::*Being Unable to Unlock      (9200-9300)

::*Being Freed                        (9400-9410)

::*Re-talk After Being Freed   (9500)

::*Meeting After Trap             (9600)

The only anomaly to this dialogue is Merchant Hag Melentia. She has sound files with the same IDs listed above but they're copies of her aggro and death dialogue.

70000100

Bearer of the curse, seek misery.

70000110

For misery will lead you to greater, stronger souls.

70000120

You will never meet the King with a soul so frail and pallid.

70000130

The curse is a part of life itself. No one will ever be rid of it.

70000140

And so there is only one choice. To await a worthy monarch.

70000150

A monarch who can shoulder your burden.

70000160

Lest this land swallow you whole… As it has so many others.

Their souls will serve as beacons.

70000230

Once you have found them, return here to me.

70000240

So that hope will not fade away.

70001510

Your soul has grown stronger still.

70001520

70001530

Bearer of the curse… If you acquire all four souls,

70001540

then you will have proved yourself deserving.

70001550

Beyond the bonfire lies the Forest of the Giants, where a great battle precipitated the kingdom's downfall.

70000510

The warriors who fell there still clutch their swords.

70000520

Perhaps something there will ease your journey.

70000530

You need not be afraid. For the battle is done; the combatants, freed forever.

70004430

I was born of dragons, contrived by men.

70004450

But they failed.

70004460

70004470

Fate would not be bested, and men were cursed once again.
