Cosmic Fantasy: Bouken Shounen Yuu

The first game in the Cosmic Fantasy series. It later saw a worldwide release when it was bundled with the second game as Cosmic Fantasy Collection.

Debug Menu#

At the title screen, hold Up + Select + I + II and press Run to access a debug menu consisting of a cutscene viewer and sound test. A similar menu also appears in the sequel. Unlike the sequel, however, this still works in the Switch re-release, despite that version having a sound test and cutscene viewer in the menus before starting the game.

Regional Changes#

The title screen was updated to use English and the subtitle was dropped in the US Switch release.

Bugs#

The US Switch version has the enemies and player characters backwards in combat dialogues, meaning when your characters attack a monster it will instead say the monsters attacked your characters (and vice versa), and winning fights will say the enemies won.
