Captain America and The Avengers on the NES is notably a platformer as opposed to a beat-em-up like the previously released arcade game also from Data East.
Hidden Credit#
On any warehouse level, the initials "TW" can be seen hiding among the title graphics near the exit. "TW" probably stands for Takashi Watanabe, the background artist.

Unused Animation#
There's an unused animation that shows Captain America performing some sort of somersault or flash kick.
Unused Graphic#
The game's ROM contains unused images of Iron Man and Vision.
The game's ROM contains an unused Exit arrow image.
The game's rom contains an unused sprite Go!.
The game's ROM contains unused 1P 2P Cpu images. Probably, initially, Battle mode was supposed to support the choice of an opponent: "vs 2 player" or "vs Cpu".
CHR $40 contains unused tiles for the last level. Some of them depict a view of the planet Earth. There are also tiles that look like glass. The developers probably wanted to show a glass window with a view of the Earth at the space colony level.
