Block Breaker Deluxe (J2ME)

To do: Revisional differences, more extensive datamining. Graphics are stored in a proprietary format of which I couldn't figure out.

Block Breaker Deluxe is a weird cross-breed between a Breakout clone and a dating sim – courtesy of Gameloft.

This original version of the game is notable having an anime-like art style, rather than having a more realistic one – used in re-releases, ports, and future installments of the series.

Unused Text#

levels_txt.dat#

The following string is repeated 55 (!) times in the file levels_txt.dat. Worth noting is that there is no character named Sam Fisher in this game, and that this dialogue does not fit in any way with the narrative of the final game. The tildes were likely supposed to be rendered in-game as newlines.

OH, IT'S SO GOOD TO BE FREE~AGAIN! GOD, LOOK AT THE TIME!~IF I HURRY, I CAN STILL BE~IN TIME AT MY DATE WITH~SAM FISHER...

This one is repeated in a total of five times in the same file.

To do: This only works on certain releases of the game or may use a different key combo.

Pressing "*1397*" at any time on the main menu enables ingame debug cheats. Press "#3179#" after to unlock everything.
