The sequel to Battle Mania/Trouble Shooter that was only released in Japan and Korea.
Pad Test#
A controller test can be accessed by turning the power on either with no controller plugged in, or having an unsupported controller (e.g. a mouse or a light gun) plugged in.
After connecting a proper controller (or two), you can press the buttons to light up their respective inputs on the screen. The music track "Deposit Coins" plays during this mode.
Further information displayed:
- MODE — The region setting of the console. Displays either "JAPAN" or "ABROAD".
- VMOD — The television mode. Displays either "NTSC" or "PAL".
- VER.NO. — The model of Mega Drive being used. Most machines with TMSS support will display 1, but most lacking TMSS support will display 0.
Stage Select#
In the Options menu, go to the B.G.M. section. Select the SILENCE entry and press the A button 4 times. Next, change the entry to NOTHING 13 and press the A button 3 times.
Now, start a new game and the Stage Select menu appears.
