Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits

This needs some investigation. Discuss ideas and findings on the talk page. Specifically: Look through the Map Select debug option. There's probably stuff unused.

Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits is the sixth game in the Arc the Lad series, and the first game in the series released for the PlayStation 2 and made in 3D.

Debug Menu#

A fairly large debug menu remains in the game. You can do various things with this menu, such as control the lighting, set SFX and BGM volumes, have max gold, set various event flags on or off, and more. Apply the code below to access this menu in-game.

With the above code on, press R3 once to enable the menu. After entering the pause screen, then exiting it, it will appear on-screen. Press L3 to disable.

Controls for the debug menu:

• X to confirm an option.
• Circle to go back / exit debug menu.
• D-Pad Up / Down to move through the menu.

MapSelect#

The level select option. Choosing anything here will send you to different areas. Selecting any of the chk_ levels will send you to test screens. From there, you can listen to BGM, SFX, voices, or play movies.

Presumably this menu sets clear flags for events.	It is unclear what these do.

Item	Sound
This menu will allow you add the selected item to your inventory.	You can adjust the volume settings here.

Light#

Using this menu allows you to adjust various lighting settings.

Debug#

This menu allows you to save and load anywhere. It also has various debug settings that you can toggle, though it is unclear if they work.

Marker#

This draws a marker over the player's head. That's all it seems to do.

Unused Maps#

It is unclear what this is. It doesn't appear to function properly.	Allows you to play all the SFX in the game.

BGM Test	Voice Test
Allows you to play all the BGM in the game.	Allows you to play all the voices in the game.
