8-Bit Xmas 2014 is the 7th game in the 8-bit Xmas series. Just like all of the 8-Bit Xmas games, the cartridge has blinky lights!

Unused Graphics#

The game's font was copied wholesale from the PowerPak's CHR data, and as such, it contains an unused PowerPak logo. Some of its graphics are overwritten by a few special characters.

Anti-Emulation Message#

Careful, you'll lose an eye.

There's a whole lotta words here, but not enough pictures. Please fix this.
Specifically: Show an image of the message in use.

The game uses a special NES mapper to properly expand the capabilities of the cartridge that the game requires, of which includes some PPU capabilities to render the title screen. If the PPU doesn't load the proper tiles before the title screen renders (which occurs on low-accuracy emulators or certain unofficial consoles such as the Retro Freak), the game throws out the following message on a red screen, with a frown formed by smaller sad faces:

ERROR: This console sux too much. Next time avoid software emulators!

This message can also be found in a hex editor at the address $1D10. Ironically, this message is hard to trigger on actual software emulators, of which they are accurate enough to load the game normally, or is unable to recognize the NES mapper that this game uses, causing an immediate freeze or crash upon boot.
