This is a sub-page of Proto:The Fancy Pants Adventures: World 2.

The March demo is the earliest World 2 build that's available to the public. It was released in March of 2007 to showcase Brad Borne's progress on the game and to affirm that work on the sequel didn't die out.

The description that Brad wrote:

Just a 2 level demo. Figured I could get some feedback on the new features, it’s still rough, one level is mostly colored, the other is just an outline, but whatever…

Leave LOTS of feedback :) EXCEPT about his hair disapearing, I haven’t drawn it all yet :P

Level Differences#

Level 2#

March Demo

Final

Despite this being a demo, Nothing much changed on Level 2's layout.

  • Certain parts of the map are sketched out and roughly colored instead of finalized.
  • The red platforms are differently placed.
  • The upper area is unfinished, which excluded the golf cup in the final.
  • Palletes for the level are still leftover here.
  • Oil has been implemented, but it isn't drawn in yet.
  • There's writing on the level which is absent in the final

Level 8#

March Demo

Final

There's a lot of differences between the March demo and the final:

  • Oil has been partially implemented
  • There are more arrows in the demo than in the final
  • The indent where the guest level would be is absent. It is also disconnected from the oil slick slide unlike in the final
  • The platforms from Level 2 are reused as placeholders.
  • The entire level is uncolored
