This is a sub-page of Proto:Taz: Wanted.
Found in the second Dave Pinkney backup disc is an extremely early build.
Differences#
A lot of differences are in here.
- Font appears to look different.
- HUD is in an early state and only determines how many Taz Tops were collected.
- Some of the level files appear to date earlier, from August to June.
- The "Cartoon Lighting" is unfinished. There's no black outline, and only makes models a darker color, with no lighting.
- All models were based on the early renders. The final game changes the style to keep it consistent with the lighting.
- The pause screen is basic.
- There is no music. All sounds were basic.
Object Viewer#
The object viewer is basic.
- The difference is the background color. The background color was brighter.

Frontend#
- Although you can't start on the frontend, it's completely playable.
- In the design documents, there is a picture depicting an early version of the Title Screen (Also known as the Front End).
- This level is rendered unused due to being unfinished.
- This level only has vertex colors.
Zoo Hub#
Last modified September 4, 2000. An earlier version, dated August 31, 2000 is also here.
- There are strange, falling objects throughout the map, which were the dropping objects that appear in Looney Tunes.
- Parts of the map were different.
- Only vertex colors exist.
Test Map#
A level that uses textures. This is an unused room used for testing slopes.
Its collision data can be viewed in the Object Viewer.
"Prototype Level"#
Again, this is a level that uses textures.
This is the first level to contain a very early version of the Taz Top collectible, with one basic spinning animation and completely different textures.
It also contains destructible things, like rocks, and Taz Wanted sign using early graphics.
