A previously unseen debug menu, accessible while the game is in the "Ground" state (aka. in-game, but not in-dungeon). This is easily accessible through the yellow option in the menu.
|
|
This needs some investigation. |
Return to the top menu#
Simply returns you to the Top Menu, with no warning. This appears to partially save your current progress, as it preserves any changes made between your last save point and when you selected the option. However, resetting after selecting this will still render your changes lost.
Main Scenario Progress#
"Main Scenario control" This edits your current story, or scenario. there are 7 rows and 6 of them have various options to choose from.

Allows you to choose each chapter of the game, including the prologue, main chapters, the ending, the post-game chapters, and finally a completed file. |
ほじょだんかい |
Support Phase |
Unsure. Allows you to select a number from 0-99. This naturally increases as you progress through the post-game. |
ほじょフラグ |
Support Flag |
Unsure, Allows you to select a number from 0-255. Appears to always be set to 0 by default, no matter where you are in the story. |
しゅじんこう かいわ |
Player's talk |
Allows you to choose either "おとこ"(Male) or "おんな"(Female). This changes the color of your textbox, where blue is male and pink is female. This also changes which set of dialogue they use. This does not actually affect your hero's gender, however. |
あいぼう かいわ |
Partner's talk |
Chooses between "タイプ 1"(Type), "タイプ 2", and "タイプ 3". This affects which set of dialogue your partner speaks, which depends on their species in normal gameplay. |
バランスしんこうど |
Player type |
A view-only variable that changes from "バランス 0"(Balance) through "バランス 7". This affects your stats as you level up, and changes as you progress through the story. |
バランスそうさ |
Partner type |
The first option says "シナリオせってい"(Scenario Settings), while the the rest say "バランス 0"(Balance) through "バランス 7". Like above, this affects your partner's stats as they level up. Scenario Settings automatically changes the balance as you progress through the story, while the other options set it manually. |
Sub Scenario Progress#
"Particular Progress Control" Another scenario editor, which specifically allows you to edit story-related flags. There are 4 pages in total, with 27 flags that can each be flipped ON or OFF. Each option is relatively self-explanatory based on its name. A full list can be found below.

Dungeon open#
"Open Dungeons" Edits your dungeon list. A menu appears with most of the dungeons, including all used ones, sections of dungeons (Like Far Amp Plains), and boss rooms, as well as a handful of the unused ones. The listed unused dungeons are: Test Dungeon(0x00), Deep Concealed Ruins(0x47), the Dummy dungeons(0x67-0x7D), the Dojo dungeons(0x8C-0x9F), and Rescue Dungeon(0xA0). When you select a dungeon, 4 options appear.

かんすい |
Completion |
When this option is selected, it indicates to the game that this dungeon has been cleared at least once, but it will not make the dungeon appear on your list. This is used for multi-sectioned dungeons and boss rooms, so the game can track its completion without making it visible to the player. |
いらい |
Mission |
The dungeon appears on your list, with no icons. |
Dungeon log#
"Open Dungeons" Lists the dungeons from the previous option. This time, they have numbers next to them, and you can set this number between 0 and 99. This defaults to 0 for each dungeon. If you fully clear the dungeon, this number is set to the number of floors that it has. It will stay at zero if you leave the dungeon without completing it (i.e. giving up, wiping out). If you manually change it to a number higher than its floor count, it will stay at that value unless you manually change it back. If you change it to something lower, however, it will snap back to the correct floor count if you clear the dungeon again. However, changing it doesn't seem to have any other effects. Likely tracks which dungeons have been completed.
Stats#
"Control Stat Info" Edits various stats, mostly from your Adventure Log. Each option has a number next to it, and their maximum depends on which stat it is.

Stats Max#
"Maximize Pokémon Status" Has a single option: "ポケモンとたたかった"(Battled with Pokémon). Pressing A on this option will automatically set it to the maximum, which is 491 (493 Sinnoh Pokémon, minus Shaymin and Arceus because they don't exist in this game). This doesn't affect anything else; for some reason, the devs decided this was important enough to justify its own listing on the menu. Interestingly, if you try to select the option using the touchscreen rather than the A button, the game will crash with this error:
!!!!! Assert !!!!!
file = 'window_module_select_list.c' line = 213
status error
Move To Places#
"Move To Places" This lists all of the game's locations in internal order, defaulting to the room you're currently in. They use their internal names, similarly to the "Ground Script Check" option in the Top Debug Menu. Press A on a location to be warped to it. This appears to be a little bugged, though: many of the options don't seem to do anything when selected, and many others will just warp you to the upper-left-bound of the location and softlock. Notably, this is the main way to get to the Debug Room with your save file: just go to any of the "T00P0X" locations. Also notable is that this menu has two options for a "T00P04" location, which do nothing when selected; this is one of the only surviving mentions of such a location in the game. The previous touchscreen bug also applies here.
Save#
Immediately saves the game.
Debug switch#
"Debug switch"
Sends you to the "Debug Switch" option from the Top Debug Menu. Check here for more specific information.
Debug log#
"Debug log"
Sends you to the "Debug Log" option from the Top Debug Menu. It still doesn't seem to do much anymore.
Next Day (Shop, Job, Egg)#
This immediately closes the menu when selected, and refreshes Treasure Town as if it were a new day. The shop items and jobs are re-rolled and the egg in the daycare will be one day closer to hatching.
Item Management/Addition#
Extremely in-depth item editor, which for some reason also handles Chansey's Daycare. Selecting it opens a menu with 5 options, and a small window appears at the bottom, reflecting your currently selected options.

Set Type |
Opens a new menu, with 3 options. "しゅじんこう"(Player) sets the to-be-edited Pokémon as your Hero, "パートナー"(Partner) sets the Pokémon as your Partner, and "そうこ"(Storage) sets it as a new Pokémon in your Assembly. |
ポケモン |
Pokémon |
The functionality of this one depends on which type is set. If you have it set to Player or Partner, this will allow you to choose a number from 0-31, with each number corresponding to a possible Hero/Partner Pokémon. Each Pokémon has two options, "オス"(Male) or "メス"(Female), which sets the Hero's gender. However, you unfortunately cannot pick Pokémon which are not normally available as a Hero or Partner. If the type is set to "Storage", this will allow you to select any Pokémon, in Pokedex order. Scrolling too high crashes the game. |
セット |
Set |
Sets your selection. If you've changed a Hero or Partner, you will need to load a new area for it to take effect. This only affects your Pokémon's species, and leaves all of their stats, like IQ and Level, intact. If you selected "Storage", though, your selection will be added to your Assembly at level 1. |
Pokémon Storage#
This sends you to a menu where you can rename the Pokémon in your recruit list, including your Hero and Partner Pokémon. It also breaks the graphics on the top screen, assumedly from trying and failing to change it to the recruitment graphic, but it works as intended otherwise.
Chimecho Assembly#

モンスそうこ |
Pokémon storage |
Opens a new menu, with 4 options.
There is also an unseen option listed in the text dump, called "ミックスうめ"(Mixed), listed after the options for Male/Female Pokémon. It's impossible to definitively say what purpose this served, but it may have set each Pokémon in your Assembly to a random gender, or added random Pokémon to your Assembly. |
||||||||||||||||||
かしこさ |
IQ |
Opens a new menu with 5 options.
Also, while these can't be seen in-game, the text dump has 2 extra options here:"レベル60"(Lv. 60) and "レベル99"(Lv. 99). These also have the "Unimplemented" icon next to them, and it's impossible to say what their original usage was for, since there are no Pokémon which specifically need to be set to these levels to evolve (and the "Set Pokémon's Level" option below should be able to satisfy any leveling requirements anyways). |
||||||||||||||||||
しんかどうぐ |
Evolution Item |
Opens yet another menu with 3 options, which notably are in light blue rather than the debug menu's standard yellow color. The English text dump actually changes the blue to the standard debug yellow, so this may have been an error.
This menu also has an unseen option labeled "おかね"(Money) in the text dump. While it's impossible to say for sure, this likely would've edited your Bank or on-hand money in some way. |
||||||||||||||||||
レベルセット |
Set Pokémon's level |
Allows you to select a number from 1-100. The number you select will become the level of every Pokémon in your Assembly if their current level has a lower value. This also affects the Hero and Partner. However, if a Pokémon's level was already higher than the value you chose, they will not be affected. |

Extremely in-depth Wonder Mail generator. So in-depth, in fact, that it won't fit in this table; see below table for more information. |
しゅつげんモンスター |
Appearing Pokemon |
The dialogue "しゅつげんモンスターを ぜんかいほうしました"(Made all possible Pokemon appear in Dungeon) will appear, which will allow all possible Pokémon to appear as job clients. Normally, the game requires the player to defeat a given species of Pokémon once to be added to the client/outlaw pool, although this only affects randomly generated jobs, and not those received through Wonder Mail. |
とじる |
Close |
Exits the menu. This is the only part of this Debug Menu with an option to exit, for some reason. |
"Job Editing" allows you to create any possible Wonder Mail and add it to your Job List. The bottom screen has the mail editor, while the top screen shows what the mail will look like in your Job List. This includes a Wonder Mail Code, if the job can have one. When you first open this menu, it defaults to all the attributes of the first mail in your job list, if one exists; if you don't have any jobs in your list, a generic default is available. You must press START to save the bottom screen's settings to the top screen. Pressing A will add your created mail to your Job List. If the creation of the Wonder Mail was successful, it will say "いらいをかこうしました"(Edited the Job.) and close the menu. If there is contradictory information in the mission you've created, it will say "データチェックエラー"(Data Check Error) and bring you back to the editing page.
Note: while this menu is extremely powerful, it is still limited by the mechanics of Wonder Mail itself and cannot be used to create an "invalid" custom mission. This editor cannot do the following:
- Set the Client or Target Pokémon as a Legendary or Mythical Pokémon. Attempting to do this will create a Data Check Error.
- Change the rewarded egg or second item. These are always random and cannot be changed.
- Set the difficulty or rewarded money. These are automatically calculated based on the nature of the Wonder Mail.

Interestingly, the first two strings are mistranslated; they deal with money, not Pokémon. the translators probably saw "ポケ", which directly translates to "Poke", and assumed it was a shortening of "Pokémon", when it is actually the in-game currency. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
おれいアイテム/おれいモンスター/おれいデータなし |
Thank-You Item/Thank-you Pokemon/No Thank-you Data |
The name and functionality of this option depends on the Thank-You Type. If it calls for an item, this allows you to select the rewarded item. If it calls for a Pokémon, this allows you to set the rewarded Pokémon. If the reward doesn't call for either, this option cannot be changed. |

せいげんタイプ |

||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
ぞくせいせいげん/モンスターせいげん |
Attribute Restriction/Pokemon Restriction |
The name and functionality depends on the above option: Attribute lets you choose any of the 18 Pokémon types, while Pokémon lets you choose from any Pokémon in the game. The former requires a Pokémon with a certain type to be present in the party, while the latter requires a certain Pokémon species to be present in the party. |

Start Script#
Seems to be similar, if not identical, to the Ground Script Check in the Top Debug Menu. Many of these cutscenes will still crash when they're over, and may have broken graphics, assumedly a side-effect of loading them incorrectly.
