A review build for the PlayStation 2 is dated about two weeks before the final North American build. It has several differences such as missing Spanish localization.
Audio#
Music#
- Chaka Demus & Pliers' "Sissy" is present in this build, however, it was cut in the final game due to licensing issues.
- "Live 135" by Patientzero had a different arrangement.
Cutscenes#
- The intro FMV is slightly longer. It also has some differences like slightly different car models, these models were changed in the final game to prevent copyright infringement.

Vehicles#
- The Cocotte and the Citi Turbo were originally sponsored by JD Edelbrock but this was changed. The logo remains in the game files but it is not used. Its string can still be used in the final game. Similarly, the 1971 Bestia was sponsored by Team Baurtwell, but this was changed. Although its logo is shown after one of Angel's races is completed, the logo remains in the game files but it is not used.
- Unused images for all cars are present, probably intended for the main menu. For some reason, the images for the Cocotte, Cohete, Citi Turbo, SLF450X, SLF400, and the cut Vampire are absent and are just blank files.
