This is a sub-page of Proto:Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones/Maps and Chapters.
Known as 序章 ルネス陥落 (Prologue: The Fall of Renais) in the final release. Called 序章 (Prologue) here in the prototype.
Note that currently the data on this page covers Easy/Tutorial Mode only, as that is what it appears to be set to by default when using the chapter warp in the prototype.
Map#
Its map is largely the same, though its palette is different. The mountains are also constructed in an... interesting manner.

The enemies in this chapter are different from the final. In the final game the boss is of the Fighter class, an on-foot axe-using melee class. In the prototype the boss is of the Soldier class, an on-foot lance-using melee class.
Two generic enemies accompany the boss in both versions, though their classes differ. In the final version the boss is accompanied by two fighters. In the prototype the two generics are of the brigand class, which is also an on-foot axe-using melee class. Due to this being incredibly early in the game the two classes' stat differences have little impact on how it plays.
Chapter Flow#
The game's opening narration, which occurs upon starting this chapter in the final release, along with several scripted cutscenes are missing entirely. In the final release, there are several scenes involving Eirika, the protagonist, escaping Renais castle, evading capture by the enemy. The prototype Prologue begins with what occurs after these scenes in the final, starting simply with Eirika and her knight Seth escaping into the mountains.

Seth gives Eirika a Vulnerary, a healing item, in this revision, with Eirika having her Rapier in her starting inventory. The final revision of the game reverses this, with Seth giving Eirika a Rapier, while Eirika has a Vulnerary in her starting inventory.
The opening scenes progress mostly the same as the final, though, amusingly, the scripted fight between Eirika and the Grado Soldier has her miss a 100% chance to hit in the prototype; this was corrected to her not missing in the final version.

After the tutorial makes Eirika attack again when the player phase comes around, Seth moves on his own and kills the other underling due to the tutorial. On the next enemy phase the boss moves towards Seth. In the prototype the boss does not move far enough on his turn to attack Seth. This is not the case in the final version, where the boss attacks Seth on the enemy phase.

In the final game, the boss of this chapter is called オニール (O'Neill). In the prototype he uses the placeholder name (イビル) Evil and has a placeholder portrait.

In the prototype the tutorial forces the player to put Eirika in a much more dangerous battle, she can kill the boss, but has to dodge a 72% hit change to be able to make her second, lethal, attack. As the battle is scripted, she'll always dodge, but this apparent close call does not occur in the final version as the boss has a lower chance to hit and Eirika is at full HP.
The final version of this fight has Eirika making an impossible follow-up attack: she doesn't have a high enough speed stat to double the boss normally, but the scripted nature of the fight allows her to do so anyway. In the prototype the boss's abysmal stats mean Eirika is able to follow-up attack him even outside of a scripted fight.
After this the chapter ends like it does in the final version, by changing to a dialogue scene then the chapter transition.
