Elite Beat Agents

This article has a talk page!
view on tcrf.net

This page details one or more prototype versions of Elite Beat Agents.

To do:

  • Make a list of all the demos.
  • Find a way to get into the game files.
  • Walkie Talkie Man sounds slightly different in the first demo. It may be because of the compression, but the other demos sound the same as the final version.

Included in DS Download Station Volume 3 is a demo of Elite Beat Agents, showcasing the first two sections of the first stage Walkie Talkie Man.

The Next button in the mini-tutorial has a different design.

The Skip button is the same style used in Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan.

The top half of Agent J's badge reads "BA2", but otherwise looks the same as it did in an E3 press kit screenshot. The emblem on the bottom half of the badge looks the same as the final version, but is slightly more bronze in color.

The star that appears to encourage the target has a much simpler design in the demo. The star waves use a red color palette (the same used in the E3 version), instead of the final game's orange palette, and the wave animation is slower in the final. The target also appears to slightly bob up and down after being cheered on in the final.

The demo uses a phrase marker for the "And he don't run too fast/At the show we saw him" line; the final uses two hit markers instead.

The Pass icon is the same as the one from Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan...

...as is the Fail icon.

The Agent J pop-up that appears whenever a 30× combo (and higher milestones) is reached was redrawn for the final.
