A prototype of Black Ops II from February 2013 that contains early content from the 3rd, 4th, and cut 5th DLC packs. Only Zombies can be played in this build, as Multiplayer and Campaign crash the game.
Zombies#
Mob of the Dead#
Mob of the Dead is in a far more complete state than the other maps, but still has differences.
- The intro cutscene is unfinished, with the characters having temporary voice lines and character models taken from the campaign.
- The electric boxes around the map have a different texture and are in different locations.
Buried#
Compared to Mob of the Dead, Buried is less complete, mostly still being a blockout at this stage. Despite this, the map mostly retains the layout it has in the final version.
The map seems to have had most of its scripts stripped in this build, meaning the only thing you can do in the map is walk around.
Origins#
Origins is in an very early state in this build, with the map having a very different layout than seen in the later prototype. Almost no detail or texture work has been done yet, and it is very easy to go outside the intended map boundaries and roam the map (especially due to the lack of mud).
- There is no opening cutscene
- The starting weapon is the M1911 instead of the Mauser C96.
- The wallbuys and Mystery Box weapons across the map are different.
- The Barrett M82A1 and S12 (called the Saiga-12 in-game) are wallbuys. No other map has a wallbuy for these weapons, instead being exclusive to the Mystery Box. Strangely, neither of these weapons even appear in the box in the final version.
- The RPG and LSAT are in the box, which they are absent from in the final map.
- The power generators haven't been implimented, with the power starting on by default.
- There is only one giant robot that periodically teleports into a different position after walking across the map. It uses a much earlier design and model seen in later prototypes.
- There is a large village area connected to the rest of the map by a bridge where the chruch usually is. This was significantly downsized in later versions and eventually removed altogether by the final map's release.
- The tank drives around the map on its own and is mostly untextured and unanimated.
- All of the perks are in different locations. Quick Revive, Double Tap, Speed Cola, and Mule Kick are all in one building in the village area (presumably as a placeholder), Juggernog is in the trenches, and Stamin-Up is in the spawn room. There is no Der Wunderfizz.
- There are what appears to be glowing staff parts around the map, but there isn't any way to use them. The gramaphone records are not present.
- There is a buildable drone (possibly an earlier version of the Maxis Drone) that doesn't do anything once built.
- Several models are placed outside of the (intended) playspace, including an much earlier, untextured version of the Panzersoldat.
