This article describes the first devolution build, released as part of Devolution #6 in 2020. This specific build, however, is one of the ones that weren't released on the devolution website, and is instead in the same open directory as the EXE files of the released builds. It can be downloaded here.

General Differences#

There is no title screen in this build, unlike the original gamejam version. Additionally, this build has also scrapped the "tile displacement" for static tiles. Rudimentary connected tile support has also been added, especially visible in the Grass and Wall tiles.
