This needs some investigation. |
A trailer of unknown origin, showing many differences compared to the final release. This trailer was originally uploaded by a random user on archive.org and later re-uploaded on YouTube. Watch on YouTube
- The characters icons are reused from Sonic Advance 2, except Shadow's icon, as Shadow uses a recolored version of Sonic's icon.
- The health and charged attack bars are thicker than on the final game, especially the charged attack bar. They also lack their blue edges.
- The health bar's damage animation is not implemented yet, and numbers (seen above the health bar) are used to show the character's health.
- The bomb has a different design.
- Sonic's aerial attack is static and has a different, simpler effect. The same effect is used for Tails' "Air E. Ball".
- The character illustrations shown on this trailer are different to the final game, they look like early versions of them.
- The virtual cards have a very different design compared to what they look like in the final game.
- Most of Sonic's movements have different names, the only movement name that wasn't changed was the "Sonic Punch" movement.

- Club Rouge lacks a texture on the wall, as seen in 5:53.
- The world map of Holy Summit is slightly offset to the left, you can easily notice this on the beginning's wood bridge, at 8:13.
- Emerl's customization menu is showcased at 8:45. The background resembles the episode select screen more, with a half-body shot and a blue background. In the final game, a new background was made and Emerl's art is fully shown.
