The entire map is almost completely filled with very little space to add to, so the developers literally had to cut corners by removing sections of existing maps to make room. The video at right layers the early maps over the final ones for better comparison.

- Most of the lower half of the town was completely removed. This was done to make room for the Cave of the Past area since it's where part of the early Twoson was.
- Various buildings relocated.
- Hint man had a house at the bottom right.
- The brick wall at the top and the fence at the bottom of Burglin Park had an entrance/exit.
- Everdred's house was further back left behind the park.
- Many trees added, removed, or moved someplace else.
