Tools#
Name |

Info |
|---|---|---|
XCoder |
Python project that decodes .sc and .csv files. Requires poetry to be installed. Poetry is easiest to install on Linux, but the installation process can still be done easily on Windows using the winget command. |
|
Supercell Flash |
Hard to use, windows only, has to be compiled first using cmake and an IDE like Visual Studio. |
|
SC2FLA-FOSS-Edition |
Hard to use and windows only. Gives Adobe only files that can be rather pointless. Only useful for image files that are seemingly CgBI encoded. More info. |
|
SCEditor (ToxicLand) |
Windows only, needs to be compiled first using Visual Studio. Supports version 3 and 4 .sc, _tex.sc and _dl.sc files. |
|
sc-editor |
Depends on Java, supports all major operating systems. Can open almost all .sc versions, does however lack support for exporting spritesheets. |
Making the tilemap overviews#
They were made using this modified version of someone elses code.
Using even-better-sc-downloader#
Downloads can be done through various methods. One of the more complicated ones being through a Fingerprint file. The fingerprint file can be found at assets\fingerprint.json in as far as we know every single Clash Royale build. Using this fingerprint methode guarantees that you get the files for the specific version you want. The bruteforce method is mostly useful for getting the most recent update data.
