Quilladin#

Quilladin has a two-toned brown and green spike shaped on its forehead, with a tuft of torso color matching green "hair" on top of its head.

Quilladin's art in the build.

Final anime main art.

Quilladin's early box sprite.

Tyrunt#

Tyrunt was salmon colored, and had a different eye design. This design was changed mainly because of being similar to Agumon from the Digimon series, sourced from \★ポケモン監修用資料\その他共通資料\ネガティブチェックによる修正.

Tyrunt's art in the build.

Final anime main art.

Tyrunt's early box sprite.

Hawlucha#

Hawlucha's green feathers were light blue and its red feathers were a dark blue. Its face is an even lighter blue than its wing feathers.

Hawlucha's art in the build.

Final anime main art.

Klefki#

Klefki's face was pink with a key motif. Its smile was replaced with a keyhole shaped mouth, as its initial face design was very similar to the coat of arms of the Holy See.

Klefki's art in the build.

Final game main art.

Klefki's early box sprite.

Noibat#

Careful, you'll lose an eye.

This page or section needs more images.
There's a whole lotta words here, but not enough pictures. Please fix this.

Noibat is using Noivern's sprite, very likely erroneously.

Volcanion#

Volcanion was initially brown, before being made red later in development. Interestingly, even to this day, the Pokédex states that its color is brown.

Volcanion's art in the build.

Final anime main art.

Volcanion's earliest box sprites.

Mega Jynx#

Mega Jynx's artwork.

Full concept art sheet.

Mega Jynx is the only scrapped Mega Evolution that was planned for Pokémon X & Y. This Mega Evolution was scrapped out of fear of any possible controversies for Jynx appearing.

It never got any Mega Stone associated with it nor a 3D model, but it did get an artwork that was made as a reference for the potential model. It also got a cry, pv124_m01.wav. In the compiled builds, the cry is included with one of Mega Pinsir's cries, which is named VOICE_PV127_M01_03. The cry was never coded to Mega Jynx. Said cry appears to have also made its way into Pokémon HOME a few years before the Oct 2024 leak.

It retains the Ice/Psychic typing, and its Ability would have been Magic Guard. A quick base stat comparison:
